Join PIKE at CMU Spring Carnival 2023!

Brothers and Alumni of the Beta Sigma Chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity:

Spring Carnival weekend at CMU is April 13-16, 2023.

All Pike alumni and families are encouraged to attend. It's a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends, meet fun brothers, and relive some of the best moments from our time at CMU. As always, we'll be rooting for PiKA Buggy during the races!

Hotel Room Block

Tom Wood set up a hotel room block for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. We lose the block on March 23rd. Here are the details:

Thursday, April 13

12pm-2pm Buggy Showcase

View the latest buggy designs, talk with the teams and vote for the Buggy People’s Choice Award.

Friday, April 14

8am-12pm Prelim Buggy Races

Watch the races with fellow PIKE alumni. We usually have gatherings of people in the middle of Flagstaff Hill, and at the top of Hill 2.

1-3pm Pi Kappa Alpha Alumni Gathering

Location: Connan Room - first floor of the Cohon University Center

All PiKA community members (including children) are invited to attend this luncheon. Registration is strongly encouraged to ensure we can accommodate all guests.

3pm-onwards Free time

The BSAA is not planning anything specific for Friday afternoon or evening. Feel free to plan your own meetups with other alumni. 

7pm-9pm Buggy Bash

This event is hosted by the CMU Buggy Alumni Association. Please the CMU website if you'd like to attend. Attendance is limited and filling quickly. The description of the event is:

Buggy Bash is back! Join buggy students and alumni for a night of food, trivia and our lead truck auction – this year, live and in person. Registration Requested.

Saturday, April 15

8:30am-12pm Final Races

Watch the races with fellow PIKE alumni. We usually have gatherings of people in the middle of Flagstaff Hill, and at the top of Hill 2.

1-3pm Beta Sigma Annual Meeting with Lunch

Location: Giant Eagle Auditorium, Baker Hall 

All brothers and alumni (and families) are welcome. We will have lunch while we discuss the chapter and alumni organizations.

Feel free to grab food from the all-campus lunch on your way there.

3-4pm History of Buggy

Location: McConomy - downstairs of Cohon University Center

Tom Wood shares the history of CMU's unique sport from how it started to how it all became what it is today.

5-7pm Pike Happy Hour at Hofbrauhaus

Join fellow Pikes for a happy hour and/or dinner at Hofbrauhaus. We don't have an official reservation but we will try to grab an area together for drinks and food.
