Carnival 2018
Post date: Mar 26, 2018 12:29:55 AM
Spring Carnival at CMU is April 19-21, 2018.
Click here to join the Facebook event.
This year marks the 50th reunion for 1968 graduates, the 50th year since Tiger Shark II set a new buggy course record, the 25th year since Bullet set the course record, the 10th year since Chimera set a buggy course record. We are also coming back from an exciting 2nd place finish last year, which was PiKA's fastest non-winning time, and the 5th fastest time we have ever had on the course. The PIKEs have been training hard this year to take back our trophy.
We have several alumni contingents that will be well represented - initiates from the late 60s, the early 80s, and more. We will have at least 7 retired buggies on display. Carnival is the perfect reason to come back to campus to see your old friends and brothers again, watch PiKA buggy, and reminisce about good times old and new.

Details
Friday - Pi Kappa Alpha Luncheon
We have reserved a room in the University Center from 1pm - 3pm. This is an informal lunch provided by the chapter. All PiKA undergraduates, alumni of all years, parents and their children are invited to attend this luncheon. Please RSVP!
Friday - Pi Kappa Alpha Happy Hour and Dinner
We are planning to meet at Hofbräuhaus Pittsburgh, Southside Works, 2705 South Water St., Pittsburgh, PA 15203. We will not have a reservation, but will plan to start arriving around 4pm to claim an area.
Saturday - Beta Sigma (BSAA/BSC) Annual Meetings with Lunch
We have reserved a room on campus from 1pm - 3pm for another lunch. There will also be presentations by the Beta Sigma Alumni Association (BSAA) and the Beta Sigma Corporation (BSC), and it will serve as the annual meetings. All brothers, alumni, and their families are welcome.
The BSAA will be holding elections for all positions at this meeting, and we are seeking volunteers and nominations. If you would like to give back to the chapter and meet lots of fellow alumni, it is a really fun and rewarding opportunity. There is a time commitment, but it's not too taxing - we meet once a month over conference call. Let us know if you have any questions or if you are interested at all.
Saturday - Pi Kappa Alpha Happy Hour
Starting at 6pm on Saturday, we have reserved space on the upper floor of Mario's East Side Saloon in Shadyside, 5442 Walnut St, Pittsburgh, PA 15232. Snacks will be provided.
